How do I qualify for a Ladbrokes Card?
  • You must have a valid Ladbrokes account
  • Your ID must be verified with Ladbrokes – Check the Verification Centre in your My Account to see your verification status
  • You must be an Australian Resident
  • Your address details must be correct and up to date
How long does it take to receive my Ladbrokes Card?

Once you apply, your card will be sent to you via post within 3 weeks. If you haven't received your card within 3 weeks, please contact our Customer Service team on 1300 523 276.

How do I activate the card?

Follow the steps below to activate your card:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Go to My Account
  3. Click on Ladbrokes Card
  4. Enter your 9-digit activation code you received alongside your Ladbrokes Card
  5. Your card is now active and ready to use!

Please note: Before using PayPass, you will need to activate it by using your card PIN in an ATM or Point of Sale.

How do I activate my Ladbrokes Card if I don’t have an activation code?

Your activation code is printed on the letter you received behind the affixed card and it is also printed on the card itself. If you are not in possession of the card, you cannot activate the card.

I have received a Ladbrokes Visa Card but am unable to activate it?

As the Ladbrokes Visa Card program is being discontinued you can no longer activate this card. Please go to ladbrokes.com.au/account to request a Ladbrokes Mastercard.

How do I transfer winnings to my card?

Simply navigate to My Account, select Withdraw and then the Ladbrokes Card. The next step is to follow the instructions to withdraw funds as per usual.

Can I use my Ladbrokes Card to get cash out at ATMs?

Yes, just select the option for Credit and enter your 4-digit PIN to get cash out at ATMs.

Please note: regular ATM and cash out fees apply. Refer to PDS for more details.

Can I use my Ladbrokes Card like any other Mastercard debit card?

To use it as a debit card, choose the option for Credit at the Point of Sale when completing your purchase and enter your 4-digit PIN.

You can also use it online, over the phone, and PayPass where available.

Are there any fees for using the card?

Please refer to Ladbrokes Card Fees and Charges and the PDS available from our website. Please note: ATM fees still apply and may change depending on each specific ATM.

Which button do I select when making a purchase?

Please select the Credit button and your 4-digit pin. You can also use PayPass where available.

Can I make online purchases?

Use it anywhere as long as Mastercard is accepted.

Is there a limit on the card?

Please refer to the Ladbrokes Card Transaction Limits for limits associated with your card and the PDS available from our website.

Can I add my own money to the card?

Only winnings from your Ladbrokes account can be added to your card.

How is my card different from a credit or debit card?
  1. There is no bank account associated with your Ladbrokes Card, only your Ladbrokes account.
  2. Load your winnings instantly – no waiting for banks.
  3. Stay in control of your winnings – you can only spend the amount you transfer to your card, nothing more.
Are there any restrictions on the card?
  • The Ladbrokes Card may not be used for illegal transactions
  • Some merchants may choose not to accept Mastercard Prepaid Cards
  • There are limits to how much cash can be transferred to the card
  • Only one card per Ladbrokes account
  • Ladbrokes Cards are only available to Australian residents
  • The Ladbrokes card uses Australian currency only
  • The card can be used in Australia and overseas
  • The card will only accept funds transferred from a Ladbrokes account. The Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism legislation (AML/CTF) dictate that deposits must be turned over before it becomes available for withdrawal on the card

What do I do if the ATM takes my Ladbrokes Card?

First, contact the company associated with the ATM. They will be able to work out whether your card can be retrieved or not. If your card can’t be retrieved, notify the Ladbrokes Customer Service on 1300 523 276. We will then cancel your card and organise a replacement for you.

Can a refund be made to the card?

If you’ve made a purchase, and according to the merchant’s refund policy you’re entitled to a refund, the funds can be added back to the card.

You won’t have access to those funds if your card is expired or revoked. Please make sure to keep an eye on your card’s expiry date and your balance. Please call our Customer Service team if you have any questions.

Is the balance of the card updated automatically?

Just like any other card, your balance updates every time you make a deposit or a purchase.

How do I check the balance and transaction history?

You will be able to check your balance and transaction history any time on https://Ladbrokescard.com.au, simply click on the Statement Login button or straight from your Ladbrokes account following these instructions:

  1. First, log in to Ladbrokes
  2. Go to My Account
  3. Click on the Ladbrokes Card tab
  4. Click on Transaction History (this will take you to a page outside of Ladbrokes)
  5. Log in using your card number and PIN
Does the card have an expiry date?

The expiry date is as shown on the front of the card. The card is valid for 3 years from the time it is ordered. Ladbrokes will send you a replacement card once your current card expires. Please contact the Ladbrokes Customer Service team on 1300 523 276 if you haven’t received it after 3 weeks.

Why was my purchase declined?

A transaction might be declined because of any of these reasons:

  1. Insufficient funds – your purchase amount is higher than the card balance
  2. Wrong payment method – please select Credit as your payment method
  3. Network offline – the payment network may be offline in which case you should be able to try again later

I've noticed an unauthorised transaction I wish to dispute, what do I do?

Notify Ladbrokes on 1300 523 276 immediately. Our team will send you a disputed transaction form you will need to complete and send back. Provide all the details you have including any receipts. This will allow our Customer Service team to help you.

Can I access deposit match offers from Ladbrokes Card transfers?

Funds transfers made from your Ladbrokes Card into the linked betting Account will not be eligible for deposit bonuses or any other promotional offers linked to deposits, as funds transfers from a Ladbrokes Card are not considered as Cash Deposits.
